20,087 Days (2007)

Thermoplastic adhesive
5″x5″x5″

The only three-dimensional piece in the Days series, this work explores how a sculpture might represent the same ideas, containing and hiding many of its “marks” within its interiority. The piece, which is about the size of a softball, was also intended to be somewhat whimsical, created as it was through the accretion of mundane blobs of hot glue.
